  ·  Women learn from one another:   Titus 2:1–5 “But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine…..the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things – that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God may not be blasphemed.”

  · Women understand each other – can relate, help, comfort, and instruct:  II Cor. 1:3-4) “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father (or originator) of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

• Encouragement – fellowship – bonding
• Emotional support – cannot depend completely upon husbands/children
• Help through stages of life
• Service to other – missionaries, people in need
