Children's Ministries
“AWANA” stands for: Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed.
Our Hope: That all children and youth throughout the world will come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Vision: To be a strategic partner with churches and ministries in a global effort to ensure the opportunity for all children and youth to be evangelized and discipled in Christ.
Our Mission: To work with our ministry partners in creating and disseminating integrated
programs, tools and training that equip leaders to evangelize and disciple children and youth for Christ.
Our Values
: We will glorify God and serve the body of Christ by committing ourselves to these values: We proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ with clarity and urgency. We commit to God’s Word as our guide and standard. We treat all people as created and loved by God. We maintain a servant heart in all we do. We manage God’s resources with faithfulness and integrity. We pursue excellence as unto the Lord.
Sparks: Grades K-2
Sparky, the friendly firefly, encourages boys and girls to learn verses and complete assignments in their handbooks. The Sparks program is firmly grounded in Scripture, featuring:
-
Basic truths about God, Jesus Christ, Salvation and the Bible
-
An emphasis on Scripture memory
-
Clear and consistent presentation of the gospel message
T&T - Truth and Training: Grades 3-6
The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of AWANA to teach boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today’s young people will become tomorrow’s church leaders. T&T is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow - today!
Junior Varsity AWANA: Grades 7-8
From mature Christians to unchurched nonbelievers, seventh- and eighth-graders have wide-reaching spiritual, emotional, social and physical needs. One approach cannot fit them all. Jr. Varsity meets the needs of teenagers at three different levels:
-
One level (Come See) targets unsaved youth
-
A second level (Come Follow) helps young believers grow in their faith
-
The third level (Come Serve) trains committed teenagers for leadership, ministry service and a deeper walk with God.
